48 Pillars
Feb. 24 – Apr. 14, 2018
“48 Pillars” was inspired by a chance encounter at Flax with a close-out sale of deep vertical panels, 48” x 12” x 1 5/8”. 24 local Bay Area artists will produce two companion pieces each on these identically sized panels that will exactly ring the gallery – 48 works total.

Spring Fling
Apr. 4, 2018
ArtSpan’s Exclusive Spring Fling features an artist lecture by Lucky Rapp.
Lucky’s work filters universally accessible material through playful wit to connect the viewer to her language of color, comfort foods, phrases from music, and imagined conversations. All this is elevated through clean resin, thoughtful scale, and graphic economy. Come talk with Lucky about her latest curiosities while you get up close to her pristine pours!
The more marks one makes, the more real our existence becomes – Lucky Rapp

ABOUT
DZINE Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of Cracking Nutshells, a group exhibition exploring themes of construction and deconstruction in various media. Curated by Philip Bewley, the exhibition features work by 32 San Francisco Bay Area artists, with a number of commissioned works created exclusively for the show, including large-scale installations and more intimate works. The works of art in Cracking Nutshells are concerned with form, geometry and information systems; the subversion of worlds turned upside-down; questioning where construction and deconstruction meet; and examining the process of creating art itself.
